2006 CANDIDATES' FORUM @ CCSU

Summary:

Connecticut Residents and Students from Central Connecticut State University and New Britain High School Raise Childhood Lead Poisoning Environmental Health Questions during Three CT Candidates’ Forums held at CCSU

Central Connecticut State University (Educational Opportunity Program), the Foundation for Educational Advancement (FEA) , New Britain Branch of the NAACP, the Africana Center of CCSU, and the Connecticut Health Foundation sponsored three CT Candidates’ Forums on May 11th, June 18th and July 26th at CCSU.   Elizabeth Nkonoki-Ward facilitated the forums.  Dr. Vivian Cross involved University Students in a Lead Information Survey and provided students with a Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention, Elimination and Awareness Presentation on July 14, 2006.  Thomas Menditto, New Britain District Coordinator of Science, Technology and Applied Education facilitated the participation of New Britain High School students during the July 18th Candidate’s Forum.
