2006 New Britain Summer Youth Leadership Program and Lead Poisoning Prevention Component are a SUCCESS!

Elected officials and candidates participated in the 2006 New Britain Summer Youth Program Closing Ceremony held at Central Connecticut State University on August 16th and 17th.  The program included student demonstrations, presentations and displays from the 2006 Youth Lead Poisoning Prevention initiative.  Thomas Menditto and Robert Deasy directed the Student Lead Poisoning Prevention Summer Component. Connecticut Health Foundation, the Foundation for Educational Advancement, Inc., the Centers for Disease Control, CT Department of Public Health and the UCONN Healthy Environments for Children Initiative provided funding, materials or technical assistance for the Lead Poisoning Awareness high school youth initiative.
